One of Kunal's major accomplishments was leading an Amazon Web Services migration within a 3-month period. The team worked tirelessly to understand dependencies, align on sequencing and develop risk mitigation plans. They successfully transitioned critical on-premise applications, hosted in 4 different data centers, to AWS Cloud – with minimal business interruption. Kunal was available around the clock for support and issue resolution. Day to day, Kunal served as the lead database administrator, both SQL Server and Oracle, for all in-house applications. He created monitoring and reporting tools and was diligent about backups and documentation. He was a one man show when it came to identifying and addressing errors, often outside of business hours. Additionally, Kunal was the primary Xcenter (Oracle POS) resource for new releases, patches and upgrades. And as a team player, he assisted the BI group with creating SQL Server reports for MI9 (merchandising system), eliminating the need for costly vendor-produced reporting.

Kunal is one of the most dedicated and hard-working individuals I have had the pleasure of working with. His never-say-never attitude allowed us to power through a number of tough jams that required his expertise and database administration skill-set. On a number of occasions, Kunal took the time and effort to expand his skill-set, despite those requirements not being a part of his job description in order to help address a need that would have otherwise required more time and external resources who were not readily available. I am very grateful for his willingness to step up when necessary and work beyond the standard workday or in some cases, the work week, to accomplish mission critical tasks

Kunal is one of the most accomplished DBA's I have had the pleasureof working with. He eagerly expands his skills into many areas andhas been indispensable. His dedication to his work and the good of the customers is always first. I cant imagine a place that would notbe better for having him on staff.
